Charles Entsminger
Dies In Hospital

Charles Ashby Entsminger, B.
Street, Strasburg, died in the
Shenandoah County Memorial
Hospital, Woodstock, about mid-
night on January 4, 1952 follow-
ing a brief illness. He was re-
moved to the hospital on December
24, and had been ill about a month
prior to that time.
Born on March 1, 1885 in the Kerris
Creek section of Rockbridge Coun-
ty, Va., he was a son of David H.
and Nancy Harttris Entsminger,
who were also residents of that
section. He was 66 years, 10
months and three days old.
The deceased was a member of
the Strasburg Christian Church,
He is survived by one son,
James O. Williams, and one
daughter, Mrs. Carson Jenkins,
Front Royal.
The following brothers and sis-
ters also survive: Albert Ents-
minger, Springfield Ohio; Barney
Entsminger, Xenia, Ohio; Mrs.
Virgie Hayslett, Detroit Mich-
igan; Henry Entsminger; Hilltop,
W. Va.; Mrs. Graham Smith and
Mrs. Sam Davis, both of Stras-
burg; Mrs. James Stump and Miss
Mary Entsminger, both of Wash-
ington.
His wife, Mary Belle Entsming-
er, preceded him in death on Feb-
ruary 22, 1947.
Funeral services will be held on
Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from
the Stover Funeral Chapel, Stras-
burg conducted by Dr. Harry
M. Crim. Interment will be made
in Riverview Cemetery, Strasburg.
The body will remain at the
Stover Funeral Home until the
hour of the services.

Held In Strasburg

Funeral services for Charles
Ashby Entsminger, of Strasburg,
were held yesterday afternoon
from the Stover Funeral Home,
there, with Dr. H. M. Crim offi-
ciating. Interment was in River-
view Cemetery.
Those serving as pallbearers
were Coulter Stickley, Richard
Keffer, Stanley Palmer, Hugh
Stoneburner, Boyd Ashwood and
William Pangle.
Mr. Entsminger died at about
midnight on January 4 in Shen-
andoah County Memorial Hospital
near Woodstock, following an ill-
ness of about a month. He was 66
years old.

Mrs. Entslinger Dies
At Strasburg Home

Mrs. Mary Belle Entslinger, wife
of Charles Ashby Entslinger, A
Street, Strasburg, died at her home
last night about 8:30, following an
extended illness. She had been in
ill health for the past six months,
and had been bed-fast for the past
two weeks. She was 70 years, two
months and one day old.
The deceased was a daughter of
Samuel and Nealy Agnor, and was
born in Rockbridge County, Va. She
was a faithful member of the
Strasburg Christian Church.
Besides her husband, she is sur-
vived by a foster son, James Wil-
iam Entslinger, Strasburg; and
4 sisters: Mrs. Nellie Thomp-
son, Lexington; Miss Jake
Agnor, Lexington; Mrs. Elizabeth
Smith, Lexington; and Mrs. Barn-
ey Entslinger, of Ohio.
Funeral services will be conduct-
ed Saturday afternoon at 2:30 from
the Stover Funeral Home. Inter-
ment will be made in Riverview
Cemetery, Strasburg.
