Pike, Stephenson, died Sunday, July 31, 2005, at his home. Mr. Ritter was born Dec. 15, 1935, in Kernstown, the son of Earnest W. and Mabel E. Fielding Ritter. He retired from Mt. Weather after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 824 of Winchester and Berry- ville Loyal of the Moose Lodge No. 2139. He retired from the Navy after serving in Korea and Vietnam. He and his wife, Nancy M. Whittington Ritter, were married Feb. 21, 1965, in Win- chester. She died March 6, 2005. Surviving are four daughters, Gloria Dod- son of Stephenson, Vickie Shoemaker of Middle- town, Sharon Lamb of Chesapeake, and Katrina Fishel of Clearbrook; two brothers, Thomas Rit- ter of Winches ter and Donald Ritter of Rich- mond; five grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren. A brother, Earnest Ritter, is deceased, as are two sisters, Eunice Braithwaite and Helen Ludholtz. A funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday Jones Funeral Home, Winchester with the Rev. Anthony A. Wadsworth officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery military honors accorded by VFW Post 2123, Winchester. Pallbearers will be Jack Lamb, Lynn C. Hickey, Len E. Hickey, Christopher K. Hickey, Gary Jason Wisecarver, and Junior Armel. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. |

and formerly of Mount Jackson, died Friday, June 8, 2007, in Winchester Medical Center. Mr. Lindamood was born June 2, 1925, in Shenandoah County, the son of Christopher Columbus Lindamood and Lilly Mae Miller Lin- damood. He was a Navy Seabee in World War II, serving in the Philippines. He worked as a me- chanic, retiring from Rudy's Garage in Winch- ester. Surviving are four daughters, Gloria Dodson of Stephenson, Vickie Shoemaker of Winchester, Sharon Lamb of Chesapeake, and Katrina Fishel of Clearbrook; a sister, Viola Fitzwater of Bruce- town; five grandchildren; and a great-grand- daughter. A funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock, with the Rev. John F. Taylor Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Zion Luther- an Church Cemetery near Edinburg with military honors accorded by the Strasburg American Le- gion Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Jason Wisecarver, Chris Hickey, Donald Lindamood, Richard Lindamood, Jack Lamb, and Mike Lin- damood. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
