County Native Dies At SJH

    Raymond Higgins, 73, of Lexington, died Thursday,
August 26, 2004 in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

    Mr. Higgins was born on January 13, 1931 in Rockbidge
County, a son of the late Charles William Higgins and Annie
Kate Smith Higgins.

    He is survived by two sons, one daughter and one sister,
Gladys H. Staton of Lexington.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday,
August 29, 2004 at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with Rev.
George Warden officiating. Burial will follow in the
Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive
friends from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at the Harrison Funeral
Home & Crematory, Lexington.
